Flora Farm is the adult Disneyland. The happiest place on earth. The concept is to die for. A 10-acre farm, grocery, field kitchen, bar, spa + pool, shops, farm living in luxury and a private beach club for owners. Pure joy.
It’s hard to know where to start with Flora Farms– exceptional doesn’t begin to explain it. The grandeur is unforeseeable, making your way down a dirt road about 20 minutes from the San Jose del Cabo airport. The farm is the heart of the machine, feeding the Farm Kitchen and Grocery. Complete with a bar, bakery, pizza oven and patisserie… the list goes on. There are a collection of Culinary Cottages nestled throughout the property to extend your stay and enjoy the multitude of amenities.
Our recent trip for brunch with a group of ladies can be told in rounds. Arrival, carrot margarita or beet bloody mary. Brunch, fresh squeezed mimosas. Girl talk, mezcal with fresh orange and Tajin. Needless to say any lingering worries or responsibilities were long forgotten.
The atmosphere is inspiring and the perfect locale to start off our ladies trip. We chatted and laughed. Told stories and spoke of the future. A place where we could shake off our troubles and create a place for growth. Friends supporting each other and sharing experiences is not just empowering but essential. It always amazes me how travel and getting away can help gain a little perspective. Hands down the best brunch of my life. I was reminded a good meal isn’t just the food you eat but the company you keep.
After the meal of a lifetime- we enjoyed a private tour of the grounds (Tuesday-Saturday) and the Culinary Cottages (by appointment). Seasonal crops abound- lovingly nurtured to nourish all who visit. Ten handcrafted luxury cottages flank the farm, offering a plethora of benefits to owners and renters alike. As a part of this private community you can enjoy harvesting privileges throughout the farm, take advantage of the spa and pool area, private in-room or community dining and access to their much anticipated beach club. These charming, fully equipped and well appointed cottages are the perfect place to relax, rejuvenate and nourish.
The property has a plethora of ever evolving amenities. The spa and swimming pool have private cabanas in the shade a few palm trees with a yoga space and juice bar adjacent. The mango and papaya orchard hosts their al fresco private event space available for weddings and events. You can visit the shops at the farm for natural beauty products or a bottle of vino from a Baja vintner. Flora Farms is the true Farm to Table experience taking sustainability to another level. The attention to detail is evident in the quality of the experience, and that’s what makes Flora Farms great.
As the weather began to heat up in Mexico we were ready for a chilled refreshment. Rose in the mist of the Farm Bar was in order. 
The warm wind blew into the valley collecting the scent of earth and ocean. I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and thought quietly to myself ‘this is the life…‘. After a few delightful hours on the Flora Farms property it was time to head to our final destination- Pachamama in Todos Santos, about 45 minutes away. We made sure to take a photo with their signature red truck before we left and vowed to come back together again.
We’ll be back for another round of Carrot Margaritas, a stay in the Culinary Cottages to try every meal of the day and a trip to their Private Beach Club on the Sea of Cortez.
